DD-Receiver
Einleitung
Es gibt drei Möglichkeiten für die Nutzung von Dolby Digital am VDR:
- Ac3overdvb-patch
- Bitstreamout
- eine geänderte Firmware für den VDR die direkt AC3 ausgibt
Der AC3overDVB-Patch für den VDR ermöglicht die Ausgabe von AC3, auch bekannt als Dolby Digital, über den digitalen S/PDIF Ausgang einer FF-DVB-Karte. Elektrischer und optischer Ausgang benutzen beide das exakt gleiche Protokoll und erlauben die genau gleiche Klangqualität, allerdings erlaubt die Nutzung des optischen Ausgangs elektrische Potentialtrennung zwischen PC und DD-Receiver. Damit können Brummschleifen in Bild und zusätzlichen analogen Audiokanälen vermieden werden. Falls beide Möglichkeiten bestehen sollte deswegen der optische Toslink Anschluß bevorzugt werden. Da für die Ausgabe des digitalen Audiosignals der AV7111 benutzt wird und dieser Chip nur PCM Datenströme verarbeiten kann, muß encapsulated ac3 verwendet werden. Mit diesem Datenformat kommen viele, aber nicht alle DD Receiver zurecht. Deswegen existiert eine Liste geeigneter Receiver.
Die selbe Einschränkung besteht übrigens auch bei Verwendung einer speziellen Firmware für den AV7111 mit AC3-Ausgabe.

Achtung: Angaben ohne jede Gewähr, da von vielen Usern zusammengetragen! Diese Liste lebt von der Aktualisierung durch User von DD-Receivern, deswegen bitte alle bekannten Ergebnisse {ok/Fehler} noch nicht eingetragener Receiver vermerken. Unter PCM bitte eintragen ob der Receiver den Stream erkennt, in der zweiten Spalte bitte eintragen ob DD und DTS etc. erkannt/wiedergegeben werden können.
